The 2551-A is a high-speed 8-channel isolated thermocouple input module designed to be compatible with the 2500 Series® programmable controller I/O base. The 2551-A translates thermocouple input signals into scaled temperature values and millivolt input signals into equivalent digital words.

The 2556 is a high-speed 16-channel isolated thermocouple input module designed to be compatible with the 2500 Series® I/O base. The 2556 translates millivolt level signals from the thermocouple element into a scaled temperature value. Multiple thermocouple types are supported as well as millivolt inputs. IMPORTANT NOTE: 2556 HAS BEEN MATURED.  IT IS REPLACED BY 2556-A, WHICH SHOULD BE USED ON ALL NEW DESIGNS.
