The 2500C Compact I/O System expands the capability of 2500 Series® Systems to include small form-factor modular I/O connected over Profibus. Compact I/O is designed for use in a broad range of applications, including those that require discrete and analog control. It is compatible with the 2500 Series® System, and offers a much smaller form factor compared to existing systems. Components include the Base, Power Supply, Remote Base Controller (allows connection to any Profibus Master) and I/O modules.

Works with any Profibus master, including CTI 2500 Series® Processors

New “classic plus” login mode for I/O modules allows setting many module parameters by software instead of jumpers

2500 Series® Processors can mix existing Profibus remote bases with new Compact I/O remote bases
